watch: Gil Scott Heron

recently, I've gotten into video, and i thought this was the perfect example of how video and sound should collab. The song is by Gil Scott Heron, a much respected poet and singer. Its off his upcoming album called Im New Here. I honestly was taken aback (yes aback) by the lyrics and how well everything flowed together. The imagery and the black and white effects made the words of the song come to life, Me and The Devil, is the title by the way. And then, when i was thinking the madness was over, Gil recites a poem, what? craziness. film was directed by Coodie, Chike, and Michael Sterling Eaton. good find. potent sht.
